True North Women’s Safety Apparel Ltd. is a Canadian-owned company founded in 2020 in Regina, Saskatchewan by Candina Elendu. Candina was inspired to increase the accessibility of safety apparel for women working in trades and other hazardous environments, after becoming increasingly aware of the sustained difficulties that women were facing in trying to source the required safety apparel, needed to perform their jobs safely and confidently.
Our mission is to support women working in the trades, healthcare and other hazardous environments, by increasing the accessibility, availability, and affordability of properly fitted safety workwear that is specifically designed for women’s bodies, and to remove the cost of sourcing women’s safety workwear such as; high visibility and fire resistant clothing, and scrubs from the international market.
